Guild News: 12/20/09

-Anashti Sul-

It was a dark and terrible night. Our forces had battled their way through the Palace of Anashti Sul and defeated her many guardians. Though weary from the brutal encounters we had already faced, we knew that the fate of Norrath was at stake and that Anashti Sul must be defeated at all costs.

Anashti stood in her lair awaiting our arrival with a sick and twisted grin on her face. She had faced countless armies and all had fallen before her. She gripped her staff tightly and prepared to destroy the small band of mortals who had dared to enter her domain. She would consume our souls and feast on our flesh before the night was through. Or so she thought…

The mighty Brokol led the charge. Anashti roared like a banshee and attacked with an unholy fierceness. We had battled dragons, monsters, demons, and demigods, but nothing had prepared us for this fight.  All manner of foul magic was cast upon us as we battled the greatest demon we had ever faced. Our priests worked tirelessly to counter the dark magic and to keep Brokol alive as he absorbed blow after blow. Our mages weaved all manner of spells to weaken her, and our scouts attacked her with great fury.

But Anashti Sul would not face us alone. She began to open portals to another dimension and called forth beasts to aid her in the fight. A small party including myself, Fejik, and Cannibalize broke off to face this new threat. One by one we cut down the reinforcements she had summoned. Anashti began to weaken. It seemed as if victory was within our grasp!

Suddenly, I looked over and watched in disbelief as our priest Cannibalize fell. The battle had taken too great a toll, and his will had failed him. Anashti gained strength from this and summoned a huge nether beast. Our small party, now without a priest was doomed. For a moment, it appeared all was lost, but we would not give up. Fejik and our small band held off the new threat for just a moment. But it was long enough for our brave Inquisitor, Nobody, to cast verdict and strike the final blow that destroyed Anashti Sul!

 
What a fight to remember! Nice job, Black Sheep! Thanks for the experience. :)

-Two more beasties fall-

     Despite the fact that we are smack-dab in the middle of the Holiday season, the members of Black Sheep have been making time for raids, and we put the nails in the coffins of both Umzok and Zarrakon! Grats everyone on a job well done. The Zarrakon kill in particular has been a long time coming, and I was thrilled to see him fall! We've got a little over 2 months left in TSO, and we intend to do as much damage as we can. Heads up, Anashti Sul ... you are next!



-Better late than never!-

     Good Lord, it's been almost 2 months since I got on and posted an update! In that time we have been farming Mr. Gynok regulalry, managed to put down Tyrannus, and are currently working to take out Zarrakon. Much remains to be done in the next few months. I look forward to continung our journey through TSO and geting as far as we possibly can before the next expansion launches. Keep on keeping on, Black Sheep!

     Black Sheep finally took out ole Gynok and score our first leg pattern last night! This was a very difficult encounter that took us a lot of deaths to learn. Great job hanging in there until the job was done. Victory is sweet! On to the next challenge!
